The Nye County School District has launched its new Parent Digital Toolkit website, a one-stop online resource to help parents stay connected with their child's education. The new webpage offers easy access to powerful tools designed to streamline communication and provide essential school information.
"Our goal is to leverage technology to remove barriers and make it as simple as possible for parents to be active participants in their child's education," said Robert Williams, the NCSD Communications Officer.
The toolkit, available at https://www.nye.k12.nv.us/page/parent-toolkit, includes the following features:
Infinite Campus Parent Portal: A direct line to your child's academic progress where you can check grades, attendance, assignments, and download report cards.
"Texting" with the school and teacher with EduRooms in the NCSD App: The district's hub for news, emergency updates, and direct parent-teacher chat. A major highlight is that all NCSD schools will now accept absence excuses through eduRooms, allowing parents to notify the school with a few taps and even attach photos of doctor's notes.

StopFinder: A real-time bus tracking app (currently available in Pahrump) so parents can monitor their child's bus location.
MySchoolBucks: A convenient and secure way to pay for school fees and activities online with a credit card.
Superintendent Dr. Gent called the toolkit a "game-changer for parent engagement." "We are thrilled to offer our families a tool that makes connecting with their child's teacher as easy as sending a text message," he said.
Connecting to the new eduRooms feature is simple. Parents can download the "Nye County School District" app, select the "Rooms" option, and log in using the cell phone number on file with the school in Infinite Campus. This allows for secure, text-like messaging with teachers about classroom activities, events, and student progress.
